Casa degli Ulivi sleeps up to 10 people and is a thoroughly modernised farmhouse with 4 bedrooms, 4 bathrooms and swimming pool in Tuscany, Italy. Close to the wine routes of Tuscany and the town of Montecarlo, famous for its wine, it is conveniently close to the Mediterranean as well as cultural centres such as Florence, Siena, Lucca, Pisa, etc.

Prices from €1,250 per week (Saturday to Saturday)

Casa degli Ulivi is a stone-built farmhouse with a terracotta pantile roof; everything you would expect of a Tuscan house. It has been restored from its foundations to the roof and in the process modern conveniences such as central heating, modern bathrooms and double glazing have been added

Casa degli Ulivi enjoys an enviable panoramic postion

The pool is reached by a series of steps leading down from the house and is surrounded by lawns and olive trees. There are ample loungers for sunbathers and umbrellas for shade.

The kitchen has been restored to show vaulted beamed ceiling and stone walls but with modern appliances including dishwasher. There is also a washing machine. It is at the front of the house with panoramic views and close to the barbecue and al fresco dining area.

There is a magnificent outdoor dining area, close to the kitchen and barbecue, under the shade of an enormous tree with stunning views of the surrounding mountains and Tuscan towns and villages spread out below.

The barbecue is probably where you'll do most of your cooking whilst at Casa degli Ulivi - you can use either natural wood or charcoal.

The dining room with ample seating for 10, along the corridor from the kitchen and next to the lounge, has French windows and views across the Tuscan countryside.

The bedrooms are simple and tastefully decorated. There are four double bedrooms though two can be configured as twin bedded rooms on request'

There is a fifth double bed / sofa in the lounge on the ground floor plus extra beds / cots for children are available too.

Location of Casa degli Ulivi

Casa degli Ulivi is located in the hills overlooking Pescia and Lucca. It is some 350m above sea level and in the summer enjoys a temperature some 2C lower than the temperatures in the town below. Driving time to Pescia, the nearest town, is 15 minutes down a picturesque, well made but winding and narrow road.

What's included in the price at Casa degli Ulivi

The following items are included in the price:-

Bed linen for all beds. If you stay longer than a week this will be replaced at the end of the first week.
Towels for 10 guests; 2 bath towel and 1 pool towel for each person per week (maximum 10)
Tea towels for use in the kitchen - 7 towels will be provided per week.
Wood for the pizza oven.
Electricity.
Gas for cooking.
Pool maintenance. This is carried out every other day, usually between 7.00 a.m. and 8.00 a.m.
Final clean at the end of your stay.

The following items are not included in the price:-

Transport to and from Casa degli Ulivi.
Central heating (gas) - when required (early Spring / late Autumn / Winter) this is charged at cost.

Who we are at Casa degli Ulivi .

We are Enzo Galea and Simone Vannucci. We are lawyers practising in Prato, a nearby town. We acquired Casa degli Ulivi when it was a derelict house and have now restored to a charming summer residence. When you rent our house it is entirely yours and we will leave you in peace. However, there will always be someone nearby if you need help or advice.
